This is completely original. The C85-8 has no alternator, or starter. It has to be hand propped, as it was with all the J3/L4 cubs of the era. It carries 12 gals of fuel in a centrally located firewall tank. This particular airplane has a battery, and a wind generator between the legs, which charges the battery. This battery is used for a Cessna radio.

Included in this sale is 0 TSOH Continental O-200A 100 hp engine that was purchased for the idea of replacing the C85 with. This is the largest engine that can be installed in an L4.
